Headed far away or staying nearby, there’s plenty to do whether you’re an outdoorsman, looking to see a local attraction, local shopping, or wanting something new to do.
The Nantahala Outdoor Center is just a few minutes down the road. A great spot to spend the day; book a rafting, kayaking, or ducky trip down the river, ziplining, mountain biking, treetop adventure nets for kiddos to enjoy for hours while you sit and enjoy great snack and drinks from Big Wesser pub or Rivers End restaurant.
You can also Kayak the Nantahala River right out of the back yard, Check out a brewery in Sylva, Bryson City, Andrews, Murphy, or other nearby towns. Head to Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee just 45 minutes away or Harrahs Casino in Murphy just 30 minutes away. Seeking adventure off the water? Head to Robbinsville to ride the notorious Tail of The Dragon in your sports car or on motorcycles. In the winter get in some skiing or tubing at Cataloochee Ski area just an hour away. Or head to downtown Bryson City to ride the Polar Express. They also have other rides throughout the year; scenic train rides, bbqs and brews rides, Mountain beer run, Uncorked wine experience, and a Carolina Moonshine experience (we recommend booking in advance after you book the home).

Brewery with indoor and outdoor seating. This brewery has one bar downstairs and another upstairs where you can overlook downtown Bryson City.
